Rundown Clipper

Newscast → social clips

Drop in the show.
Get every story as a clip.

Wide and vertical versions, easy trimming, automatic captions, and a suggested title and description for each segment — no editing experience needed.

No upload wait: the video is opened right on your computer. Files up to 2 GB work well — figure roughly 10 minutes of story finding per GB. Use Chrome or Edge for best results.

Privacy

The show never leaves this computer. It's opened straight from your disk, so there's no upload and no copy sitting on a server. Only short audio pieces — no picture — are sent to be turned into text, and nothing is stored in an account, library, or history. Close the tab and it's gone. No sign‑up required.

How it works

  1. 01 The audio is pulled out of the file in 30‑second pieces.
  2. 02 Each piece is transcribed to text.
  3. 03 Stories are spotted in the text, each with a suggested title, description, and rough start and end times.
  4. 04 You approve or reject every segment — nothing exports without your sign‑off.
  5. 05 Trim with two big buttons, pick wide or vertical — captions are added automatically — then download.

Not perfect — a person makes the final call

Where one story ends and the next begins, the wording of a title, and whether a segment is actually worth clipping are all machine guesses, and they'll be wrong sometimes. Treat every suggestion as a rough cut: check the in and out points, read the title, and watch the clip before anything goes to air or out on social. This is an assist tool for a producer, not a replacement for one.
